Payment must be received before manufacturing or dispatch of products unless otherwise agreed.

Due to the custom nature of certain products, manufacturing will only commence once all required information, specifications, and payment have been received.

4. Product Information

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications, pricing, and availability information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, minor variations may occur due to manufacturing processes, materials, and product improvements.

Watts the Difference.CC reserves the right to correct errors, update information, or modify products without prior notice.

5. Custom Products

Many Watts the Difference.CC products are designed around specific rider requirements and equipment configurations.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements, compatibility information, and intended use requirements.

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure products meet the supplied specifications; however, final responsibility for equipment compatibility and suitability remains with the customer.

6. Third-Party Compatibility & Trademarks

Some Watts the Difference.CC products are designed for compatibility with components manufactured by third-party companies.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Watts the Difference.CC is an independent manufacturer and is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by, or endorsed by any third-party manufacturer or brand.

Any references to third-party product names, model names, trademarks, or brand names are used solely to identify the intended compatibility of our products. All trademarks and registered trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Where compatibility is stated, it refers only to the intended fitment or function of the product and does not imply any commercial relationship, approval, or endorsement by the original equipment manufacturer.

Warranty & Returns

7. Product Warranty

Watts the Difference.CC provides a 12-month limited warranty on products purchased directly from us.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use.

If a valid warranty claim is accepted, Watts the Difference.CC may, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product;

  • Replace the product; or

  • Provide an appropriate alternative resolution.

8. Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, customers must contact Watts the Difference.CC within the warranty period and provide:

  • Proof of purchase;

  • Details of the issue;

  • Photos or additional information where requested.

Each claim will be assessed individually.

9. Returns & Change of Mind

Due to the custom nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or refunds for change of mind, incorrect ordering, or incompatibility where accurate product information was provided.

If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect, we will work with the customer to provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with this warranty policy.

10. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty coverage does not apply to products damaged due to:

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Incorrect installation, adjustment, or maintenance;

  • Incorrect use or application;

  • Crash damage, impact, or abuse;

  • Incorrect storage;

  • Unauthorised modification or alteration;

  • Use outside the intended purpose of the product.

Watts the Difference.CC reserves the right to refuse warranty claims where the product has been misused, modified, or damaged outside normal intended use.

Product Safety & Testing

11. Design & Testing Philosophy

Safety and product reliability are core priorities at Watts the Difference.CC.

Our products are designed using engineering principles, appropriate material selection, and product-specific testing methodologies developed around their intended use.

12. Standards & Compliance

Where applicable, our design and testing processes are informed by relevant industry standards, including ISO 4210 guidance.

Products are individually assessed and tested based on their intended application; however, Watts the Difference.CC does not claim independent certification unless specifically stated.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring their equipment complies with the rules and requirements of their intended event or competition.

Customers are responsible for confirming that any aftermarket component is compatible with their bicycle and is installed correctly before use. When in doubt, installation should be carried out by a qualified bicycle mechanic.

13. Product Testing

Testing procedures are developed specifically for each product type and may include assessment of:

  • Material performance;

  • Structural integrity;

  • Intended load conditions;

  • Real-world usage scenarios.

We continuously review and improve our designs and testing processes as new information, materials, and technologies become available.

Limitation of Liability

14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Watts the Difference.CC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use our products.

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are correctly installed, maintained, and used for their intended application.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes rights or protections provided under applicable consumer protection laws.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
